More About Meringue

The Full Story

We had been seeing Meringue out and about our neighborhood for months. Then we noticed she was growing wider, and wider! One day, she simply disappeared. When we later found the entrance to our crawlspace had been opened, we were pretty sure what happened!

She had given birth to five adorable kittens under our house. Donning our kneepads, we ventured into the crawlspace and rescued the whole family. She was an amazing mother, even giving her love to a sixth orphaned kitten. All six were later adopted.

Once she was done nursing, she was spayed and ready to be placed back outside. But being so gentle and seeming so happy to be an inside kitty, we opted to find her a home rather than turn her back out into the harsh streets.

We think Meringue can brighten someone's life, just like her kittens have gone on to do. Will it be yours?

To ensure the best match, CC4C asks that all family members living at home participate. Please note, CC4C does not allow third-party adoptions (e.g., adopting as a gift).
